Frequently Asked Questions

What game types are available?

Nine games: Skins, Nassau (Segment Match), Match Play, Wolf, Vegas, Stableford, Dots/Junk (Event Bonus), Four-Ball (Counting Team), and Split Sixes. Each has its own rules and scoring system.

How does Skins work?

Each hole is worth one 'skin'. The player with the lowest score on a hole wins the skin. If two or more players tie, the skin carries over to the next hole, increasing its value.

How does Nassau work?

Nassau is three bets in one: front nine, back nine, and overall 18. Each segment is a separate match play competition. You can press (double the bet) if you're losing.

How does Wolf work?

Players rotate as 'Wolf' on each hole. The Wolf tees off first and can pick a partner after seeing each player's tee shot, or go 'Lone Wolf' against all three. Lone Wolf pays double if won.

Do all players need the app?

No. Only one person needs to run the Side Game round and enter scores for everyone. Other players don't need accounts.

How does handicap allocation work?

The app uses the WHS (World Handicap System) formula. You can choose gross scoring, manual stroke index, or automatic allocation based on the difference between players' handicaps.

Is it really free?

Yes. Side Games is completely free for all users - no subscription, no trial, no limits.
