Driving Distance Questions
How accurate is GPS distance measurement?
GPS is typically accurate to within 3-5 yards, which is sufficient for tracking trends and averages. Over multiple shots, your average distance is very accurate.
Do I need to mark every drive?
No! Mark the drives you want to track. Many users mark drives on measured holes or when testing new equipment. The more data, the better your stats.
Can I track carry distance vs total distance?
Yes! Mark both where your ball lands (carry) and where it stops (total). The app tracks both metrics separately.
How many drives do I need for accurate averages?
We recommend at least 10-20 tracked drives for reliable averages. The more drives you track, the more accurate your statistics become.
Does it account for elevation changes?
GPS measures ground distance. For significant elevation changes (like mountainous courses), your actual carry may differ from GPS distance.
Can I see my longest drive ever?
Absolutely! The app tracks your personal best and shows a list of your longest drives with dates and courses.
